Marketing

by RR Jr on September 29, 2006

Here is a topic many artists dread, but so vitally important if you’re an artist in business. There are many, many sources of marketing info on the internet, as well as in print, and I’m always looking for inspiring ideas and directions that will motivate me to take time away from the camera and focus on getting my name and work out to a wider audience.

One gem I’ve recently come across is ArtBizCoach.com, website of Alyson B. Stanfield who is an artist marketing consultant. There are tons of great resources there including articles, on-line workshops (I’m in the middle of one right now), books, a newsletter, a blog, and even personal one on one consulting. I’ve already learned a great deal in the short time I’ve been visiting the site, so I highly recommend it to anyone looking to jumpstart their marketing efforts.

I will be returning in a few weeks to focus on the spectacular foliage that was just starting to appear during my visit. I’ll have a complete trip report very soon…

I’ll also be using a Garmin GPS receiver to record coordinates for all of the images I create, and I’ll provide [...]
