The October 2010 Free Desktop Wallpaper is now available for download. The Hudson River Valley is my backyard so to speak, and the fall season is probably my favorite time to spend enjoying its beauty and grandeur. The air is cool, the light is lower in the sky and feels warmer, and the leaves are just starting their yearly show.
As always, thanks for your support and come closer to nature in the Hudson Valley.

Wonderland, Acadia National Park
It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see. ~Henry David Thoreau
This to me is the essence of creative photography, and perhaps life in general. Commit it to memory, and think of it often, both visually and metaphorically. It can transform your life. It has for me.

I’m really happy to announce that the 2011 Light & Landscapes Wall Calendar will be in stock and available for order at the end of the week. This will be my fifth wall calendar, and as always great fun to create and share with all of you.
Each year I change the focus somewhat, and whereas in the 2010 edition I only included images of the Hudson Valley, this new edition will have landscapes captured during the past 12 months from various locations. I also added some of my favorite inspirational quotes to each image, which was requested my many who had purchased calendars in the past.
The cover photo is a seascape I captured from the northeastern coast of Maine at Quoddy Head. It is one of my favorites and really sets the tone of the entire calendar. As always, I appreciate your support!
