Fog and Light in the Forest

I am fascinated with how light can completely transform a scene, and your perceptions, into a completely different experience. I would probably never choose this particular composition in normal conditions. But add the right atmospheric elements, and it becomes an illuminating and profound way to understand light and its amazing ability to alter our emotions. The slight hint of blue sky in the top right corner made all the difference to me, as I tried to create a sense of warmth, yet remind the viewer it was a rather cold spring morning

There is no better way to learn to see than to challenge yourself in very tough conditions. You can learn anywhere, all it takes is curiosity, and a willingness to accept whatever surprises mother natyure has in store each day. On this particular day last week, I learned a great deal!
