There will be a huge gathering in Beacon this Sunday June 7th for the “Welcome the Fleet Festival“. It will take place at Scenic Hudson’s Long Dock Park next to the train station and there will be music, food, kayak rentals, and an overall party atmosphere as everyone awaits the arrival of the Quadricentennial flotilla coming from the NYC harbor. It celebrates the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s historic voyage, and it should be a real sight to see, so bring your cameras!

I’ll be displaying much of my Hudson Valley photography in a dedicated booth, and hope to spend as much time as possible photographing all of the days events. For anyone who has an interest in the Hudson River, and can make the trip, this is one historic event you don’t want to miss.

UPDATE: For those who read my blog entries via email of RSS reader, there seems to be a problem with Vimeo videos not displaying properly. Yesterdays post titled “Valley Fog” contained a short video – if you didn’t see it, please go here. I am working on a solution for the future. Thanks!
