    The skies have a way of turning an ordinary shot into an image that has depth and dimension. The skies become this intense canvas of rich colors and hues brought out by highlights from the rising sun. Take that away and your image titled Morning Hike just does not have all the elements to make it complete.
    Your post shots of Skies reminded me that I need to add some more cloud shots into my blog post.

    1. Good point about balancing skies with the foreground, which is how I prefer to photograph skies. The visual “weight” of land tends to anchor a sky image, and add more opportunities to create rhythm or symmetry and hopefully keep a viewer interested for a longer period of time.
