The 2012 PhotoPlus International Expo + Conference at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in NYC starts in just a few days, and I will once again be a guest artist at the Canson Infinity booth for the entire show.

An a Canson ambassador, my role is to provide a photographer’s perspective on their papers, how and why I use them, and answer any relevant questions. Canson’s perspective is that there’s a little more credibility and trust when you hear it from an artist vs a sales person. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity and honored to help the Canson staff, a great group of passionate people. Six of my prints will be on display, and I’ll be there of course to talk with visitors to the booth.

As many of you know, I love sharing everything I know about photography and printing, so if you can make it down, please stop by and say hello. I’ll also be checking out the rest of the expo for any new gear that peaks my interest (while I can), so I’ll share that here as well.

In addition, I’ll be giving away three 11 x 17 signed prints (one on each day of the expo), so if you’re interested, make sure to enter this special giveaway at the Canson booth for a chance to win.

Free Photo Workshop in the Hudson Valley

This Sunday Oct 28th, I will be giving a free photo workshop for Scenic Hudson at one of their parks – the Black Creek Preserve in the town of Esopus. It’ll be a sunrise shoot and we’ll be hiking about 2.5 miles total to a great location on the shores of the Hudson River.

For more information, please visit the Scenic Hudson website and rsvp— there are only 20 spots available.

It’s a busy week for sure, but I’ll post photos and notes on the expo and workshop…stay tuned.
