Continuing in a new series of free webinars, I’m excited to announce “Composition Workflow: From…
The Scenic Hudson 50th Anniversary Exhibition, “On Time and Place,” which has been traveling down the Hudson River since January, makes a stop at the Nyack Public Library in Nyack, New York for the month of July.
I was on hand this Monday at the library to help hang the artwork, and we got it done in record time, 2 hrs for almost 30 pieces. So far the prints have been holding up pretty well, no broken frames or glass after four venues. A big part of that has to do with our use of GalleryPouch bubble bags from Frame Destination to protect the prints while they are traveling or in storage.
These are the best bubble type protective bags I have ever used, and I think that comes from the way they are constructed. Even when they are empty, they hold their shape and form without collapsing, and this makes them really good at protecting delicate artwork. If you need to protect your prints for whatever reason, I highly recommend GalleryPouch bags. I depend on them to get my own prints to and from exhibitions and art festivals without damage.
And for sure, if you’re in the New York area, stop in the Nyack Public Library to check out the exhibition. Plus it’s an amazing library in general, with a cafe on the top floor, and a beautiful view of the Hudson River. It runs from now until July 31st.
Thanks for the notice about this exhibition, Robert, and for the tip about GalleryPouch bags. Anton and I get our frames and mats from Frame Destination — great place — but I didn’t know about these bags. They will be very useful.
Awesome Nancy. glad to bring them to your attention. They’re not inexpensive, but well worth the investment, especially over the long term. I’ve had my share of damaged prints because of inferior packing materials – ex. Staples bubble bags 🙂
