The weekly Creative Critique—Live continues this week with our 5th livestream this Thursday, April 30th at 8pm EDT (New York).

Once you register you will receive a confirmation email with a link to upload your image for consideration. Please do not re-submit, and please only submit one image. I already have received hundreds, so there’s no promise I will critique your image.

I select images based on the potential to explain and share compositional concepts, as well as creative methods of using the tools in Lightroom. And if you don’t use Lightroom, the ideas are applicable to whatever software you do use.

As I’ve said many times, I am software agnostic, meaning that it doesn’t matter to me what you choose to use. I use Lightroom because it suits my needs better than other options across my entire workflow, from management to print. For me it’s about remaining engaged with the creative process, not maximizing a specific function at the expense of either simplicity or overall productivity.

But if you are achieving the results you want, then fantastic. I specifically present the information so that you can adapt it easily to your workflow. The same goes for subject mater and genre. Light is light, and regardless of whether it’s a landscape or portrait, holding the viewers interest comes down to a strong composition and clarity of vision.

If you miss it live, there will be a replay link soon after. You can also watch all the past webinars on my Youtube channel.
