Description

Summary

Join me for an exciting 5 days of nature and landscape photography in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. No other park can match the diversity of plant and animal life, including over 100 native species of trees. Spring is wildflower season in the Smokies, and we’ll explore countless rivers, streams, mountain landscapes, all covered with amazing color and beauty. We’ll also explore historic and cultural architecture not found anywhere else in the US. My goal is to promote your creativity, help you gain confidence, improve your vision, and push you to grow as a nature photographer.

What You’ll Experience

I love teaching and working with other photographers – plain and simple. And you’ll see that each day of the workshop. We’ll visit my favorite locations to capture dramatic and expressive images, and we’ll work together to help you gain confidence with your composition, technique, and ability to convey your personal vision.

Some of What You'll Learn

• Solid foundation of camera technique (lens choices, exposure, filters, etc)
• Composition and visual design
• Understanding and using light creatively
• Using different tools to achieve your vision
• Creative RAW processing in Lightroom Classic CC

Skill Level

This workshop is designed for serious photographers – beginner to advanced – who want to improve and expand their creative potential. Regardless of your experience, if you want to take your photography to the next level, this workshop will give you the opportunity to work closely with a passionate professional dedicated to helping you develop your personal vision.

Physical Difficulty

Participants must be in good physical condition and be able to hike 2-3 miles with photo gear. Safety is always my priority, so If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me for more information.

Lodging

We’ll be headquartered at the TalleyHo Inn in Townsend, TN, on the peaceful side of the Smokies. Lodging and food are not included in the workshop fee, but I have reserved 5 rooms for students. Once you register for the workshop, please reserve your room at the TallyHo Inn – (865) 448-2465.
