Plans, changed plans, and the Power of Now

All spring and summer long I had scouted and photographed many local photogenic areas, and had made plans to return to these very same places in the fall and winter. Many times I like to photograph areas in all seasons to gain a perspective of how nature affects a landscape. Plus the colors of fall, and the winter snow always make for great images. Unfortunately, plans get changed, sometimes without any warning.

Back home

I've returned from my Acadia trip, and you can view a gallery of my favorite images here. It was a photographers paradise, offering everything from grand landscapes, mountain and ocean views, glacial lakes, streams, waterfalls, and wildlife. I will be returning in a few weeks to focus on the spectacular foliage that was just starting to appear during my visit.…
